The Opportunity:
What You Will Do As a UK Healthcare Nursing Recruiter specializing in Locums, you will manage fast-paced recruitment and shift delivery for UK healthcare clients. You will play a critical role in ensuring hospitals and care facilities have the critical nursing staff they need to provide uninterrupted patient care.
Shift Details:
This role aligns with standard UK business and late hours to support urgent clinical staffing needs. You will work in one of the following shift windows:
- 11:30 AM IST to 10:00 PM IST
- 12:30 PM IST to 11:00 PM IST
Your day-to-day will focus on:
- Locum Nursing Sourcing: Identify, approach, and engage active and passive healthcare professionals, including Registered General Nurses (RGNs), Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs), specialist nurses, and Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) for urgent locum assignments.
- Fast-Paced Shift Fulfillment: Manage rapid-response recruitment activity, including candidate availability checks, shift bidding, booking confirmations, rota updates, client follow-ups, cancellations, and last-minute emergency cover for hospital wards.
- Stringent Healthcare Compliance: Match candidates to shifts by ensuring strict adherence to UK healthcare standards, verifying NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) PINs, DBS checks, right-to-work status, mandatory clinical training, and framework compliance.
- Stakeholder & System Coordination: Build strong, trust-based relationships with nursing staff, UK account managers, and healthcare facilities while maintaining accurate booking updates, compliance notes, and activity tracking in internal CRMs and healthcare-specific vendor management systems (VMS).
What You Bring to the Table We welcome applications from recruiters with experience in healthcare staffing, locum recruitment, medical shift booking, or highly regulated temporary staffing environments.
We are looking for:
- Healthcare Recruitment Experience: Proven experience handling locum bookings, temporary healthcare staffing, candidate sourcing, availability checks, and urgent shift fulfillment.
- UK Healthcare Awareness: A solid understanding of the UK healthcare market, NHS frameworks, nursing compliance (NMC, DBS), or a strong willingness and capability to master UK medical recruitment processes rapidly.
- Urgency, Communication & Ownership: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, relentless follow-up discipline, strict attention to compliance detail, and the ability to manage multiple urgent clinical vacancies under intense time pressure.
- UK Shift Flexibility: Strict availability and comfort working the designated late-morning to late-evening IST shifts to ensure seamless support for UK healthcare clients.
